Conquering the Midweek Slump
There’s a reason they call it hump day. That mid-week point often feels like a momentum killer. A few years ago, I made a radical shift to combat this: I completely blocked off every Wednesday on my calendar. No calls, no meetings – just pure, uninterrupted time to dive deep into the projects that matter most.
Initially, this seemed crazy, even to my team whom I encouraged to try it. But this simple change transformed my week. Wednesdays went from being dreaded to anticipated. It became my dedicated day to create, solve problems, and make real progress on significant projects, free from the anxiety of impending interruptions.
As someone with ADHD, the looming presence of a 2 pm meeting can derail an entire morning. I’d find myself procrastinating on deep work, opting for easy tasks while anxiously clock-watching, telling myself, “I’ll start the real work after the call.” (Narrator: She won’t.)
Why We're Launching Winning Wednesday
This personal experience, combined with insights from thousands of high achievers like you, highlighted a key truth: Success isn't built on grand Monday declarations. It's built on Wednesday resilience. It’s forged in those mid-week moments when you choose to reset, refocus, and keep moving forward.
That’s exactly why we’re launching Winning Wednesday – the newsletter you’re reading now!

Your First Wednesday Challenge: Celebrate Small Wins
Let's start building momentum right now. Take 5 minutes to write down your "win" from the week so far. It doesn't matter how small. Maybe you:
✅ Finally sent that email you've been avoiding.
✅ Said “no” to an extra commitment so you could focus.
✅ Completed a quick task that had been on your list for ages.
Why this matters: Research shows that acknowledging small wins significantly increases motivation and performance. Each small victory releases dopamine, the brain's reward chemical, which not only feels good but also fuels your drive to tackle the next challenge.
📚 Reading Corner: Deep Work by Cal Newport
I’ve been revisiting Cal Newport’s Deep Work, a game-changer for anyone aiming to achieve more meaningful results in less time. Newport argues that the ability to focus without distraction is a superpower in our increasingly fragmented world. Cultivating this skill can transform not just your productivity, but your entire approach to work and life.
