Fantastic tool for organizing my brain

I've been using the Weekly Action Pad for a couple weeks now and I absolutely love it. I'm terrible about overscheduling myself and trying to cram too many to-do list tasks into each day. This pad helps me clear out my overcrowded brain and prioritize my tasks, then realistically estimate times and schedule accordingly to get important things done and defer less important things. I've accomplished more in the past two weeks than I have the previous two months, and I feel so much less stressed. I'm delighted. I found a really helpful BestSelf blog post about planning your week that provides a step-by-step process for using the Weekly Action Pad, and now I wouldn't face another busy week without it. Thanks so very much!

Finally!

This has helped me to be realistic about my to-do list. My list is a mile long, and I've always prioritized items, but something about adding the Time Estimate, and the E/N/D have brought to light where and why. I have a lot of D's and even when they're high priority, they can be a real struggle to accomplish. The time helps me to race to the finish of each task, create a realistic schedule for my day, see the week planned out ahead, and know that not accomplishing everything isn't necessarily a failure--just a really crazy to-do list. I am even able to see a pattern in which times of day are best for various tasks (Energizing tasks are better in the afternoon when I'm a little more tired, for instance). I use it in combination with the Project Action Plan so I can be sure I'm including tasks for each of the many projects I may have going at one time (I'm in sales, have 3 busy teens, and have a family-owned business, and another I'm starting on the side). I am a work in progress, but this has helped tremendously for this busy gal.
